Drawstring Backpack

Here’s a drawstring backpack I made for my boyfriend Stanson when I first got my sewing machine out again.

It’s huge, fully lined, it has an outer pocket and inner pocket, and it’s in a cool anime-themed print. The straps are made out of the same fabric and run through two channels at the top, and the ends are sewn into the bottom. If I were to do it again I’d sew grommets into the bottom, use cording instead of fabric for the straps, and string the straps┬áthrough the grommets instead of sewing the ends into the bottom. I may still fix it with those updates.

What I’ve Been Up To

Oops, I didn’t have time to get something done for Sew Mama Sew Giveaway Day. My bad. I’ve been busy working on other things!

I’ve got one metal frame clutch and a bunch of wide open zipper pouches. I already sold the Alice in Wonderland one to a childhood friend of mine, but the rest are up on my Etsy shop for sale: http://www.etsy.com/shop/curiouspanda

I have several more but I don’t have photos of those yet.

Working on a Few Things

Hello! It’s been a while! I’ve been busy sewing a few projects, but I only have one to show you right now. The other two are finished but I want to take nicer pictures of them.

This is a haphazardly done, lopsided wide mouth little zipper pouch. I made it when I was really sleepy and not paying attention. It’s okay because it’s a “prototype” but it’s still functional and I’ll probably use it for something. I’m going ot make a bunch of these in different sizes (and with different fabrics) and sell them in my Etsy shop. I think it’s pretty cute and fun.
